April 13, 2015--Week 2

Welcome back to the Two-Start Report fantasy baseball fans! Use this report to guide you in picking up pitchers for weekly leagues. If you can't make many roster moves because of depth concerns, but you want as many starts as possible, these are the guys to target!

In efforts to streamline the information this year, I am going to try to minimize it a little bit into tiers. I plan on giving you the player, opponents, their record, and ownership percentage. Now let's look at who is going twice next week and see who we can stream to get you an advantage.

Elite

Matt Harvey – Mets v Phillies (H) and Marlins (H) – (1-0)  99%

Jacob deGrom – Mets v Phillies (H) and Marlins (H) – (0-1)  97%

Adam Wainwright – Cardinals v Brewers (H) and Reds (H) – (1-0)  99%

Anibal Sanchez – Tigers v Pirates (A) and White Sox (H) – (1-0)  93%

Great

Stephen Strasburg – Nationals v Red Sox (A) and Phillies (H) – (0-1)  99% If you can afford to avoid the first start in Boston, go ahead and do that. Stephen is not as good on the road and the Red Sox lineup packs quite a punch. Still a pretty safe start.

Brandon McCarthy – Dodgers v Mariners (H) and Rockies (H) – (1-0)  76%

Jon Lester – Cubs v Reds (H) and Padres (H) – (0-1)  99%

Gerrit Cole – Pirates v Tigers (H) and Brewers (H) – (0-0)  98%

Jordan Zimmermann – Nationals v Red Sox (A) and Phillies (H) – (1-0)  99%

Andrew Cashner – Padres v Diamondbacks (H) and Cubs (A) – (0-1)  91%

Very Good

Tim Hudson – Giants v Rockies (H) and Diamondbacks (H) – (0-0)  12% Pickup of the week

Rick Porcello – Red Sox v Nationals (H) and Orioles (H) – (0-1)  77%

Shane Greene – Tigers v Pirates (A) and White Sox (H) – (1-0)  24% That ownership number is way too low. I am telling you pick this guy up and hang on to him.

Scott Kazmir – Athletics v Astros (A) and Royals (A) – (1-0)  87%

Matt Latos – Marlins v Braves (A) and Mets (A) – (0-1)  76% Yeah I know he laid a major stinker in his first Marlin's start, I am not super concerned just yet. I like the match-ups this week.

Good

Jake Odorizzi – Rays v Blue Jays (A) and Yankees (H) – (1-0)  78%

Matt Shoemaker – Angels v Rangers (A) and Astros (A) – (1-0)  83%

Danny Duffy – Royals v Twins (A) and Athletics (H) – (0-0)  50%

James Paxton – Mariners v Dodgers (A) and Rangers (H) – (0-1)  63%

Not Good

Rubby de la Rosa – Diamondbacks v Padres (A) and Giants (A) – (1-0)  2%

Jeremy Hellickson – Diamondbacks v Padres (A) and Giants (A) – (0-1)  2%

Shelby Miller – Braves v Marlins (H) and Blue Jays (A) – (0-0)  70% Shelby looked good in his first start. I don't trust his offense (they are only 5-0 right?) and he has a history of getting blown up from time to time. These opponents can thump.

Daniel Norris – Blue Jays v Rays (H) and Braves (H) – (1-0)  23% I like the match-ups despite the very short track record, which is what is keeping him in this tier for now.

Wei Yin Chen – Orioles v Yankees (H) and Red Sox (A) – (0-0)  49%

NO!

Ryan Vogelsong – Giants v Rockies (H) and Diamondbacks (H) – (0-1)  2%

Matt Garza – Brewers v Cardinals (A) and Pirates (A) – (0-1)  45%

Nate Karns – Rays v Blue Jays (A) and Yankees (H) – (0-1)  3%

Ross Detwiler – Rangers v Angels (H) and Mariners (A) – (0-1)  1%

Mike Leake – Reds v Cubs (A) and Cardinals (A) – (0-0)  44%

R.A. Dickey – Blue Jays v Rays (H) and Braves (H) – (0-0)  66% Why?

Tom Koehler – Marlins v Braves (A) and Mets (A) – (0-1)  3%

Anthony DeSclafani – Reds v Cubs (A) and Cardinals (A) – (0-0)  4%

Aaron Harang – Phillies v Mets (A) and Nationals (A) – (1-0)  10%
