Kent associate professor facing charges after road rage incident

KENT, OH (WOIO) - A

associate professor is facing menacing charges after a road rage incident on Wednesday, April 15.

Video shot by a bystander around 5:30 p.m. shows Linden Adkins yelling at the driver of a mini-van, asking "what kind of moron are you?" and following up his question with a string of expletives.

Adkins then tries to grab onto the windshield wipers on the vehicle.

Adkins says he attacked because he saw the driver nearly hit a student, and he believed the driver was texting behind the wheel.

Kent State Police are still investigating the incident.

Adkins is due in Kent Municipal Court on April 21.
