BEREA, OH (WOIO) - Baldwin Wallace University honored one of its most famous alumni, four-time Olympic gold medalist Harrison Dillard Saturday by unveiling and dedicating a life-sized bronze statue in front of BW's George Finnie Stadium in Berea.

And what's even more special, the  91-year-old Olympian made an appearance at the ceremony.

Dillard, an East Tech H.S. grad, is the only man ever to win Olympic gold medals in both the sprints and high hurdles.

His statue was created by renowned sculptor David Deming of Cleveland, who also created the statue of Cleveland Indian Jim Thome that sits in front of Progressive Field. He is currently working on a statue of Superman. It will be installed near the Rock Hall.
