LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers spoke to the media after their 113-100 victory over the Boston Celtics on Sunday to take a 1-0 series lead in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
It was the first playoff game for Irving and Love and LeBron James was asked how the playoff first timers do today, " I thought they were phenomenal, starting with Kyrie, he's our floor general and he set the tone early on with his ability to make shots, ability to get in the lane, obviously he can shoot the ball extremely well and was able to mix it up, I thought he was phenomenal and even with Kev's shot not falling early I feel like it's the rhythm he was in, the aggressiveness he was in would pay off later for us. Around the second half he was very aggressive, getting the ball where he wanted, getting the touches where he wanted. Kev shoots eight free throws it shows he was very aggressive and for him to have a double-double tonight, those two guys, they succeeded their first time being in the post season."
In Kyrie Irving's playoff debut he put up 30 points and shot 5-of-9 from the 3-point arc. Kevin Love had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will take on the Celtics Tuesday night at Quicken Loans Arena for Game 2 of the best of seven series.
