A bond hearing has been set for the so-called "East Cleveland Three."
has been working with Eugene Johnson, Derrick Wheatt and Laurese Glover. The three spent time in prison for a 1995 murder in East Cleveland. Last month, Judge Nancy Margaret Russo granted them a new trial.
The three were released on bond in March. The prosecutor filed an appeal with the Court of Appeals and the court has agreed to hear that appeal.
In court on Monday, Judge Russo continued the bond at $50,000. She also removed the home monitoring requirement, citing their good behavior.
Their convictions were overturned on appeal after allegations surfaced that evidence was withheld from the men's trial counsel. Prosecutors had objected to her bond when she ordered a new trial is warranted.
