CHARDON, OH (WOIO) - Plans have been approved for a park to memorialize the victims and survivors of the Chardon High School shooting on February 27, 2012.
Now, organizers behind the Chardon Living Memorial Park have launched a new fundraising effort.
The Chardon Living Memorial Park will feature a walking path, a nature path, outdoor fitness area and children's playground.
Organizers say the goal of the park is to give something back to the survivors and the community. It is designed to provide a place for reflection and spiritual awareness.
Construction on the park will not begin until the park committee reaches a funding goal $300,000.
