PARMA, OH (WOIO) - Parma police arrested several men in connection with Sunday's armed robbery of the Sunoco gas station on Pearl Road.

Three men, all wearing masks, entered the gas station April 19, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. One of the men pulled out a silver handgun and told the clerk to open the cash register. The men grabbed the money out of the register and ran.

Detectives interviewed witnesses and surveillance video from a nearby store showed the suspects fleeing the scene in a maroon SUV.

Three days later, on April 22 at 1 a.m., a Parma Police officer saw a vehicle matching the description of the SUV from the robbery, in the area of State Road and Brookpark Road. The men inside matched the description of the Sunoco robbery suspects as well.

Inside the SUV officers found a gun similar to the one used in the Sunoco robbery.

The men were arrested and are also under investigation and facing more charges for their roles in over a dozen armed robberies of businesses in the greater Cleveland area over the past several months. Parma Police Detectives are working with detectives from several police departments along with special agents from the Cleveland Division of the FBI.

The men will be charged with aggravated robbery at their initial court appearance on Friday, April 24 in Parma Municipal Court.
