The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs to take a 3-0 series lead.

Unlike the first two games, the Cavaliers were the team to get off to a fast start and led most of the first quarter, ending the first with a 31-25 lead.

The Cavaliers would have the lead for most the half, but the Celtics would take a four-point lead in the second quarter, but LeBron James and the Cavs would come back strong and finish the first half on a 12-0 run to make it a 56-48 lead at the half.

James led the game with 17 points. Kevin Love was off to his best game of the playoffs, he had 12 points and 8 rebounds at the half, and finished the game with 23 points and 9 rebounds and shot 6-of-10 from the 3-point arc.

The game was off to a physical start from the beginning with multiple hard fouls and Cavs and Celtics players got in each others face multiple time in a game that had many questionable calls.

The Celtics would keep the game close, the Cavaliers only had a lead of 11, when the Cavaliers would jump to a double digit lead, the Celtics would fight back and make it a game.

In Kyrie Irving's first road playoff game, he did not perform as well as he did in the first two games. Irving finished the game with 13 points and 6 assist.

LeBron James took over for the Cavaliers shooting 13-of-26 for 31 points and 11 rebounds. Overall James, Love and Irving were just too much for the Celtics, when one struggled, the other two would be there to provide much needed plays.

Stats for the remaining Cavaliers: Tristan Thompson had 12 points and 7 rebounds. J.R. Smith had 15 points and 5 rebounds. Mozgov had 5 points and 6 rebounds. As a whole, the Cavs shot 41% from 3-point land and 45% from the field.

The Cavaliers take a 3-0 series lead, Cavs can finish the series off in Game 4, which will take place in Boston on Sunday at 1:00 P.M.
