CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -The U.S. Department of Justice is suing Quicken Loans over claims of bad practices.
The government claims the company approved bad mortgages.
Officials from Quicken Loans say the allegations are not true.
Company President Jay Farner says Quicken Loans has an established process with the Federal Housing Administration to review any loans. Farner also says he questions the Justice Department's involvement.
Today's development comes just days after Quicken Loans filed it's own lawsuit against the Justice Department and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert is the chairman of Quicken Loans.
