SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - The Summit County Sheriff's Office responded Saturday to a call for service on Hummel Street in Coventry Township regarding a fight between two men. A 33-year-old man and his 48-year-old father-in-law were fighting inside a home.
The father-in-law, identified as Steven Turner, grabbed a knife during and stabbed the victim two times, once in the shoulder and once in the neck.
Turner fled the residence on foot but was caught a short time later. The victim was transported and admitted to Akron City Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Turner was arrested and charged with felonious assault. He's being held in the Summit County Jail.
