Man arrested after pound of meth discovered in package

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - On Monday, Stark County Sheriff's Metro Agents, with assistance of the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force, served a search warrant at an apartment in the 4800 block South Blvd. in Jackson Township. The warrant was executed after investigation by metro agents revealed a Fed-Ex package containing crystal methamphetamine was delivered to Dorian Lavelle Jackson, who resides at the South address.  

The Stark County Sheriff's Office says Jackson was arrested for aggravated possession of drugs, which is a first-degree felony, along with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. He was taken into custody and booked at the Stark County Jail.

Crystal Methamphetamine is a controlled substance listed as a schedule II illegal narcotic under the U.S. Controlled Substances Act. The 454 grams agencies seized has a street value of more than $30,000.
