Crews battle a house fire on Cleveland's west side. The fire in the 7600 block of Clark Avenue began at approximately 5:10 a.m. Thursday. The top floor of the house was engulfed in flames.

The homeowner said the fire started in the back of the home and everyone got out safely, including his brother, sister-in-law and an elderly woman from the upstairs residence.

Emergency vehicles have blocked off Clark Avenue.

The assistant fire chief said the location of the house was a challenge because it's located behind another house. He said the home will be demolished due to the extensive damage.

No cause has been determined.
