Cardale Jones drops "May Fools" on Ohio


took to twitter Friday to have some fun with his followers.

The College National Champion quarterback pulled a "May Fools" prank by tweeting that he is leaving Ohio State for the University of Akron to play with the Zips.

Cardale tweeted, "It was a rough decision but I think it's best for me, like to thank OSU for this amazing opportunity but my time here has came to an end," he later said tweeted, "#ZipNation" referring to AU.

Seven minutes later Jones followed that tweet up with, "MAY FOOLS" with a laughing emoji.

This is not the first time Jones' tweets have been the topic of conversation. In October of 2012, Jones tweeted, "Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL classes are POINTLESS."

Jones is 3-0 in his three career starts, including the 42-20 win over Oregon in the first ever College Football Playoffs National Championship game.
