LORAIN COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

The State Fire Marshal is asking the public for help regarding a fire that was intentionally set. Investigators have ruled an abandoned house fire at 13170 South Avon Belden Road in Grafton as arson.

The fire happened around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015.

The investigation is being conducted by the Lorain County Association of Fire Investigators along with the Eaton Township Fire Department.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the identification of the person or persons responsible for the fire.

“It's important that if you heard or saw something out of the ordinary, you let investigators know,” said State Fire Marshal Larry L. Flowers. “That one tip could allow investigators to solve the case.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the State Fire Marshal's Fire & Explosion Investigation Bureau at 1-800-589-2728.
