finished third for the NBA's MVP award, behind winner Stephen Curry and James Harden.
The Golden State Warriors' point guard won award Monday, receiving 1,198 points from writers, broadcasters and fans.
Harden had 936 points and LeBron James received 552 points.
Upon hearing the news LeBron had nothing but congratulatory remarks for Curry. "I think it's great that another kid born in Akron, Ohio can win an MVP," he said.
Curry, 27, was born in Akron and his father even played for the Cavaliers.
Rounding out the NBA's top five MVP's is Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook, he finished fourth and Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans came in fifth.
