SANDUSKY, OH (WOIO) - The vacation destination for millions visiting Ohio opens this weekend in Sandusky.

Cedar Point opens Saturday for its 146th season and this year it's billing its legacy as "The Roller Coaster Capital of the World" as it debuts Rougarou. The floorless scream machine towers 14 stories above the Midway, flipping passengers upside down four times at more than 60 mph. It's Cedar Point's 17th roller coaster.

Winners of the first rider auction will take inaugural rides on Rougarou on Friday night. The successful bidders' money helps the LeBron James Family Foundation

On Saturday, the first 10,000 Rougarou riders receive a limited-edition pin.
