The unofficial start to summer kicks off with Walnut Wednesday. The lunchtime hot spot returns to downtown Cleveland for its fifth season.
Nearly 20 of Cleveland's best known food trucks line up along Walnut Avenue during lunchtime.
The popular destination attracts downtown workers and residents. Hosted at Perk Park, the event was created by the
to energize the park after the park's 2011 renovation. The DCA also wanted to give more options to downtown workers in the NineTwelve District.
In its first season, Walnut Wednesday had more than 50 trucks and more than 1,500 people flocked to the park each week.
Lunches from the food trucks will be available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and live music will be featured each week, courtesy of CBS Radio, whose downtown offices and studios are only blocks away from Perk Plaza.
Walnut runs until Wednesday, Sept. 30.
