The man convicted of robbing an RTA bus driver last year got 14 years in prison for his crime.
Darryl Griffin was sentenced Tuesday.
Prosecutors say on June 26, 2014 Griffin grabbed the driver's purse and some other belongings, before running off the bus. The driver was not hurt and Griffin was eventually caught by transit police.
Griffin pled guilty on April 1 to aggravated robbery, kidnapping, having weapons under disability and disruption of public service.
More than a half dozen RTA drivers showed up in court Wednesday in support of their colleague.
