During a press conference on Wednesday,
Chief Calvin Williams announced an arrest in a recent high-profile murder case. Police are now working on charges.
On Nov. 21, 2014, five people were killed when an unidentified gunman opened fire at a home on East 92nd Street. Jario Taylor, 18, Lemon Bryant, 60, and Shaylona Williams, 17, were killed inside the home. A 10-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet after the shooter spotted her entering the home. He then ran outside to continue his killing spree, shooting Sherita Johnson inside her vehicle. The 41-year-old woman was pregnant.
Investigators say the murders were "brutal and tragic." They say this arrest is the "first step for the community."
