LAKEWOOD, OH (WOIO) -

The Lakewood Police Department and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office need help identifying a man whose body washed ashore on Saturday June 27, 2015.

The body was of an African American, 30-45 yrs old, 5’10”, 179 lbs., black hair and brown eyes.

According to police, three days earlier Lakewood police officers responded to a call at Lakewood Park about a man walking in a prohibited area, due to construction. After the man was told he was not allowed to be there he walked passed the workers, took off his clothes and went over the fence bordering Lake Erie. The man in this case had the same description as the body that washed ashore.

His clothing was recovered. He was wearing khaki shorts, white socks, brown aviator style sunglasses & blue boxer briefs.

If anyone has information which would assist in identifying the male from the Park incident or the male whose body washed ashore please call the Lakewood Police Department 216-521-6773 or the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office 216-721-5610.
