The latest viral wedding photo fail has the Internet in a frenzy - and it was taken by a Mississippi photographer.

Chase Richardson, of Followell Fotography in Clinton, was photographing a wedding at McClain Lodge in Brandon in June 2014. He said it had rained all morning and they were trying to stay under covered areas to shoot photos of the wedding party.

When this particular photo was taken, Richardson was standing on a large concrete slab that had several puddles on it. So, as you can imagine, it was probably very slippery.

"I got set up for the shot, and when I adjusted my stance I slipped in the water and fell," he told us. "I cut my finger open and broke the camera lens I was using. It made this horrible screeching noise for the rest of the day."

But that slip up resulted in an epic photograph. As Richardson took a tumble, he managed to captured the wedding party’s horrified expressions as they watched their poor photographer's disastrous fall.

"It was pretty embarrassing at the time, but the couple has laughed a lot about all of the coverage it's gotten over the past few weeks."

The photo was featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon a couple of weeks ago and then ended up on sites such as Reddit, Buzzfeed and PetaPixel.

He says he's also seen it on websites based in the US, UK, and New Zealand and he has also been contacted by Fox News and the Today Show.
