New information on the five Cleveland Police supervisors charged in connection with the November 2012 deadly police chase and shooting.
Officers Randolph Dailey, Michael Donegan, Patricia Coleman, Jason Edens and Paul Wilson are now charged with two counts of dereliction of duty in East Cleveland Municipal Court. The paperwork was filed Thursday afternoon.
A court date has not been set.
A spokesperson for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office says the expectation is that Common Pleas Court will transfer the case to East Cleveland. Another option for Common Pleas Court is to hold the case in abeyance essentially until the East Cleveland case plays out. The court could also dismiss without prejudice.
The deadly chase lasted 20 minutes, beginning in Cleveland and ending at Heritage Middle School in East Cleveland. That is where officers fired 137 shots, killing Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams.
Officer Michael Brelo, the only officer charged with a felony, was found not guilty in May.
