Gas station shooting victim identified

Cleveland police have identified the man killed Thursday morning at a gas station. Second District Officers responded to 7310 Lorain around 3 a.m. Thursday for a shooting.

Officers and EMS found the victim, Macarthur Harrell, 36, of Cleveland with several gunshot wounds to his torso when they arrived. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he died.

Preliminary report reveals the victim approached a vehicle at the gas station and started talking with the person or people in the car. Someone then fired multiple shots from inside the vehicle, striking the victim before driving off. Vehicle was described as a red or maroon SUV.

There have been no arrests and no other details are available for release at this time. Anyone with information call homicide detectives at 216-623-5464.
