Cleveland activist Reggie Rucker is under federal investigation.
Rucker is the head of the Cleveland Peacemakers Alliance, an organization aimed at stopping violence in the community.
Rucker's attorney, Michael Hennenberg, says his client was first approached by the feds in February regarding grant money.
Hennenberg says that Rucker has been fully transparent with the investigation which he says centers around his past involvement with the Amer-I-Can program.
Bob Eckard is the Executive VP of the Cleveland Foundation, which provides grand money to fund the Cleveland Peacemakers Alliance. Eckard released this statement:
"The Cleveland Foundation does not have details on any investigation of Mr. Rucker, but we have responded to a request from the U.S. Attorney's Office for copies of grant applications for the Peacemakers Alliance."
