Carlos Carrasco's rock solid performance was spoiled Saturday as the A's ended the Indians four-game winning streak.
Carrasco did his job giving up just two runs on six hits in seven innings of work. The bullpen could not hold the lead though, with McAllister, Rzepczynski and Shaw all struggling to limit the damage. Billy Butler's three-run double off of Shaw in the eighth inning was the difference in the game.
Carlos Santana tried to get the Indians back in it, delivering a two-run bomb in the bottom of the eighth to trim the lead to one. However, it was not enough as the Indians went down in order in the ninth inning to snap their winning streak.
The Tribe looks to take the rubber match against Oakland Sunday afternoon at Progressive Field. First pitch is set for 1:10 p.m.
