RICHLAND COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - Video posted on YouTube shows the scuffle between a photographer and two security guards inside the Mansfield Courthouse. The courthouse was placed on lockdown July 9 after a security guard opens fire during a tussling match.
Michael Skidmore got into an argument with a clerk then tussled with two security guards during a public meeting.
Richland County Sheriff J. Steve Sheldon says a bullet fired Thursday inside the Commissioner's board room in the Richland County Administration Building and Courthouse was intentional.
During the incident Skidmore struggled with two guards, striking one in the head several times and biting the other guard's cheek. One guard fired his gun.
Though the bullet hit only the wall, both guards were injured.
Skidmore was arrested and charged with felonious assault.
