Man identified in Garden Valley homicide

The Cleveland Division of Police  has released the identity of the 26-year-old Cleveland man shot to death Wednesday around 11:20 p.m. He's been identified as Terrance Finklea. 

Fourth District officers responded to 7047 Garden Valley Avenue in connection with a man shot. Upon arrival, officers and EMS located a male victim with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS transported the victim to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he later died.

The homicide unit was notified and responded.

Preliminary investigation reveals the victim was in the parking lot area of 7047 Garden Valley, when a suspect approached on foot and fired several rounds from a handgun in his direction. The victim was struck and collapsed to the ground. The suspect then fled on foot westbound towards a field.

Police say the only available description is a male wearing a white, hooded sweatshirt.
