Akron woman pleads guilty to stabbing boyfriend to death

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh says Mareshah Livingston pleaded guilty in connection with the stabbing death of her boyfriend last fall.

On Friday, Livingston, 24, of Akron, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony.

On Oct. 16, 2014, Livingston fought and argued with her boyfriend, 23-year-old David Hart, at Livingston's home in the 1200 block of Everton Road. Livingston stabbed Hart once in the chest with a knife. He later died at the hospital.

Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Todd McKenney is scheduled to sentence Livingston on Aug. 26.
