The Indians limped into the All-Star break, and Friday night, limped right out of it, managing only one run on six hits and falling to the Cincinnati Reds, 6-1 at Great American Ball Park.
The Reds jumped on Trevor Bauer early, with Marlon Byrd taking the Tribe starter deep for a solo home run in the second.
The next two RBI's came courtesy of the Reds' starter, Mike Leake, who sacrificed a run home in the second, and doubled a run home in the third. Following a one-hour rain delay, Joey Votto tagged Bauer for another solo home run, a mammoth shot to center to put the Reds up 5-0.
Carlos Santana provided the Indians' lone run with a fielder's choice in the 6th.
The Indians fall to 42-47.
