Taste of Tremont set for Sunday afternoon

The annual Taste of Tremont event, one of the area's largest festivals, is being held Sunday, July 19 from noon until 8 p.m. The event is free to the public.

The event draws in over 30,000 people every year. Over 80 vendors will be open to showcase the area's best foods and products. For a full list of vendors visit their website HERE.

Street parking will be available at a first come first served basis. The Tremont Montessori lot and numerous church parking lots will be open for a nominal fee within Tremont. There is also a new remote parking and shuttle service. Attendees can park in or near the West Side Market or at Clark Fields and for $10 per person round trip (ages 12 and under free), a shuttle bus will transport guests to and from Taste of Tremont. Security personnel will be on duty at both parking lots.

Don't forget about the RTA. Bus 81 runs through Tremont, and RTA will be doubling their bus service. The RTA Red Line stops in Ohio City on Lorain and Tremont is just a few block away over the Abby Road bridge. You can also bike, and park it in a bike locking area at 2046 Professor Ave.
