Saturday night, family and friends gathered outside of the house where three people were found shot to death on Friday.

There were a lot of tears at the vigil as they lit candles and prayed for answers outside of the home on Ada Avenue near Lakeview Road on the east side of Cleveland.

It all started with a welfare check. Neighbors had not seen anyone at the house for days and called police.

Cleveland Police found two victims upstairs and one downstairs inside of the house. They had all been shot to death.

The family tells us 26-year-old K'yara Artis and her uncle Melvin Johnson, 76, lost their lives.

"They can look me straight in my eyes, I want them to look me straight in the eyes, because I'm looking at them. They can hide but they can't run," said Shirley Artis, K'yara's mom.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has not identified the other woman killed.

Police are looking for an SUV of one of the victims. It's a red 2007 Chevy Tahoe with the license plate E-R-7-0-V-Y.
