CANAAN TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - A West Salem man was seriously hurt after a crash on Parmenter Road in Wayne County late Saturday night.
Matthew Babbs, 34, was driving north on Parmenter Road when he lost control and traveled off the right side of the road. He struck a ditch and the vehicle overturned. Babbs was ejected.
Troopers say Babbs sustained serious life threatening injures as a result. He was taken to Wooster Community Hospital and later transported to Akron City Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
Investigators say Babbs was not wearing his seat belt.
