CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

Judge John O'Donnell has granted a request by the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office to dismiss the indictment of five Cleveland Police supervisors involved in the 2012 deadly chase.

Officers Randolph Dailey, Michael Donegan, Patricia Coleman, Jason Edens and Paul Wilson faced dereliction of duty charges from the 22-minute chase that began in Cleveland and ended at Heritage Middle School in East Cleveland, where officers fired 137 rounds at Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams, killing them.

The judge's decision paves the way for the five to still be tried on charges in East Cleveland.
