Cleveland Officers investigate multiple weekend attacks

Shots fired into home Saturday afternoon

Fourth District Detectives are investigating a shooting which occurred on July 25, 2015 at  4 p.m. at a home in the 7000 block of Berdelle Ave. 

A 19-year-old victim told officers he was sitting in the second floor living room when he heard shots hitting the house. 

He was grazed by two bullets and sustained injuries to his left elbow and left hip. 

Other members of the household stated that they observed three male suspects with guns running from Berdelle to Rathburn Ave.

While running, one of the men fired shots at a vehicle driving in the area of Berdelle and E. 71 Street.

Authorities state that the vehicle was disabled by the shot and the 25-year-old driver was not injured. 

Witnesses report that the suspects took off in an older, gold Buick. 

No one was apprehended in connection with this incident.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact fourth district detectives at 216-623-5400.

Felony stabbing on W. 84th St.

Second Police are looking for answers after a man was stabbed in the chin Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. in the 1400 block of W. 84th Street.

When officers arrived, EMS was already treating the male victim, who had also been struck in the head and lost consciousness.

The victim told detectives he had been stabbed by a man driving a white Cadillac.

While conducting their investigation, officers saw a man driving a white Cadillac pull into a nearby driveway. 

When they spoke to the driver he admitted to being in an altercation with the victim.  The two know one another. 

Officers say the suspect was in possession of a 4” silver folding knife. 

He was arrested for felonious assault.

Gunman leaves car behind after E.103rd St. shooting

Police say a man was shot in the city's fifth district on Sunday morning around 6 a.m. near E. 103rd and Flora. 

Officers responded to the area for a man shot in the arm in the 800 block of E. 103rd St.

The 51-year-old victim reported that he was grilling in is driveway when he saw another man park a vehicle near his home, get out of the car,  walk down the street, then turned around and fire several shots him.

The victim sustained sustained a gunshot wound to his forearm and stated that he didn't know the shooter.

The gunman fled on foot. 

The Honda that was driven by the suspect was towed for evidence. 

25-year-old found shot several times in hallway

In Cleveland's fourth district a young man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on Sunday morning around 6:40 a.m.

The victim was lying in a hallway at a property in the 3400 block of  E. 147th St. 

According to officers, the 25 year old was conscious but having trouble breathing and had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his shoulder, neck, thigh, back and hand. 

He was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS and was unable to give a statement due to his condition. 

A witness reported hearing shots fired, and a car’s tires screeching, but did not see anyone or the vehicle. 

Detectives say the shooting may have occurred outside of the residence and the victim may have gone to the residence to get away from suspects.   Anyone with information is asked to call at 216-623-5400.
