A new report puts Cleveland Hopkins International Airport among the top ten most affordable airports.
Hopkins jumped from 66th on the list in 2014 to the number eight spot this year.
The annual report looks at average airfares travelers found on cheapflights.com during the month of June to a mix of popular domestic and international destinations.
According to the report, the average airfare out of CLE is $278.
"In the past, CLE was not thought of as an affordable option for Cleveland area residents. But we've added three new low cost and ultra-low cost airlines here at CLE since last year," said Airport Director Ricky Smith. "The additional service has increased competition with the passengers benefiting the most. Now we can say we're the most affordable airport in Northern Ohio."
