A man wanted for the brutal stabbing death of his girlfriend has been arrested.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, along with Cleveland Police arrested 35-year-old Michael Huguley Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say Huguley argued with 31-year-old Jasmine D. Williams inside a home on Alphada Avenue in Akron back on June 23.
That's when he allegedly stabbed her multiple times.
Williams was the mother of five children, one with Huguley.
After the murder, authorities say Huguley fled to the Cleveland area where he had been hiding.
A tip from an alert citizen led to Huguley's arrest in the 7000 block of Harvard Avenue.
"We hope that the arrest of Michael Huguley brings some peace and justice to the family of Miss Williams. Crimes like this are the reason this task force exists, to get dangerous fugitives off the streets," said Assistant Chief Brian Fitzgibbon.
