Cleveland Police are investigating a deadly shooting on the city's east side on Tuesday night.
Around 9:30 p.m., police say a woman had sustained a gunshot wound to her head at a home in the 1300 block of East 114th Street. She was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she died.
According to police, the woman was pregnant and a baby girl was delivered at MetroHealth and transferred to the PICU.
Police say the male suspect sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head and was also transported to MetroHealth, where he died.
A handgun was recovered at the scene. Preliminary information reveals the victim and suspect were involved in a domestic relationship and this was a possible murder-suicide.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the woman as Christian Marie Njorodge, 34, of East Cleveland, and the man as Christopher Scruggs, 32, of Cleveland.
The medical examiner will determine the final cause of death.
