35 y.o. woman killed, family of 4 injured in Nimishillen Twp. accident

Nimishillen Twonship - The Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash, which occurred on August 1, 2015, at 1:45 p.m.

The accident happened on Easton St. at the intersection of Columbus Road, in Nimishillen Township, Stark County.

Jessica R. Burdeshaw, 35, of Akron, was driving a white 2014 Ford Fiesta, traveling east on Easton St.

In another vehicle, Dale E. Olbon, 41, of North Canton, was operating a 2013 maroon Dodge Ram truck, traveling west on Easton St.

Investigators say Burdeshaw failed to yield while turning left onto Columbus Rd. and her vehicle was struck by Mr. Olbon's truck.

Due to the collision, both vehicles went off the north side of the roadway and Olbon's vehicle overturned on its top.

Olbon had three passenger's in his vehicle, 41-year-old Linnea L. Olbon, who rode in the front passenger seat, 8-year-old Mason R. Olbon, who rode in the middle back seat and 10-year-old Ella Blair, in the back seat on the left side.

Burdeshaw was not wearing a seat belt and was partially trapped in the vehicle.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Stark County Coroner.

Authorities say none of the occupants in Olbon's vehicle were wearing safety belts.

Dale Olbon, Mason Olbon and Ella Blair were transported by Nimishillen Township Fire Department and taken to Mercy Hospital.

Linnea Olbon was transported by Louisville Fire Department and taken to Mercy Hospital; all sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
