    The Executive Administrator of the Gardens of Westlake appeared in Rocky River Muni Court Wednesday morning, on charges of stealing pain medication from the elderly residents. Christina Melagrano, 41, waived her preliminary hearing and her case was bound over to the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury.More >>

Probation for a Gates Mills woman who pleaded guilty to stealing pain medication from a patient at the Gardens of Westlake nursing home.  

Christina Melaragno worked as the Executive Administrator at the nursing home and the former Director of Nursing. She was arrested October 2014 and pleaded guilty in May 2015 to burglary and drug possession.

According to the investigation Melaragno entered the resident's room to steal medication. 

A judge sentenced her to two years probation and a $5,000 fine. Melaragno was also ordered to complete drug counseling and write a letter to her victim.
