Bank robbery suspect on the run

MENTOR, OH (WOIO) - At 10:50 a.m. Monday morning, police officers from the Mentor Police Department were called out to a bank robbery at the First National Bank at 7323 Center Street.

Police say a man walked into the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was seen. Witnesses say he left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen heading east on Nowlen Street.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20's. He is tall with a slender build. He was wearing a purple button-down shirt, a Nike ball cap, blue athletic shoes with white soles, and possibly jeans. He had visible tattoos on his neck.
