The Cleveland Browns on Monday signed RB Timothy Flanders and RB Jalen Parmele. General Manager Ray Farmer made the announcement.

In addition, the club waived WR Kevin Cone and DB Brandon Stephens.

The move comes after three Browns running backs were hurt during training camp. Rookie Duke Johnson Jr. will miss time with a hamstring injury. Second year running back Terrance West injured his calf.

Flanders is 5-9, 210-pounds and officially in his first NFL season out of Sam Houston State. He was originally signed by the Saints as undrafted free agent in 2014.

Parmele is 6-0, 224-pounds and in his fourth NFL season out of Toledo. Originally selected by the Dolphins in the sixth round in 2008, he has appeared in 36 career games and has totaled 187 rushing yards on 48 attempts and seven receptions for 60 yards. He has added an average of 25.1-yards per kickoff return on 43 career returns. Parmele appeared in one game last season with the Cardinals.

Cone spent the final 11 weeks of the 2014 season on the Browns’ practice squad. Stephens was signed by the club this May after participating the team’s rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.

The Browns roster is currently at the maximum of 90 players.
