Taking a look at the latest GOP polls it is clear that Governor John Kasich is in a three man race with current New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former Texas Governor Rick Perry for the final two spots in Thursday's debate in Cleveland.
The debate will include the top ten candidates, using an average of the five major polls, leading up to the debate and Kasich, Christie and Perry are in a tight battle.
Rob Frost, the chairman of the Cuyahoga County Republican Party believes the Ohio governor will make the cut.
"John Kasich has gotten into a very crowded field and already established his mark. Making it to this debate stage, as I predict and I think we'll see confirmed this week," Frost said.
Assuming Frost's prediction is on the mark Governor Kasich will need to find a way to stand out, in a crowded field, especially when you consider the headline grabbing abilities of candidate Donald Trump.
"It's an art I guess to grab those headlines. I don't begrudge any of the contenders," Frost said.
Frost says he does not have information regarding the governor's possible debate strategy, if, as Frost predicts Kasich makes the cut, but he does not believe the governor needs to make a grandstand play.
"I do think you'll see that Governor Kasich will have something quite memorable that he will say during the course of the debate," added Frost.
