Police, BCI investigating after body found in water in Massillon

MASSILLON, OH (WOIO) -

Three children fishing found a woman's body in the water in Massillon around 1:50 p.m. Wednesday. The body was found under a bridge on 3rd Street NW at James Street. 

Massillon police are treating the case as a homicide. An Ohio BCI spokeswoman says the woman has been tentatively identified as a 23-year-old from the Summit or Stark County area. 

The Stark County Coroner will determine and release her cause of death and identity. 

Officials released a description of the victim's tattoos; including two paw prints below her neckline on upper chest and the name Jordan Alexander in script around her neck, in order to help identify her.
