Baby Jacob was born 13 weeks early, and suffers from kidney failure, but he continues to fight to stay alive.

It's been a tough time for the Hinks family from Illinois.

His mother Christina spoke to us via Skype. She couldn't be prouder of her little one.

"It's a miracle," Christina said. "Today, actually, they did a procedure where they've never done it before on a baby his size."

Christina said Jacob is about the size an avocado and doctors successfully placed a dialysis catheter into his body. It was a life saving procedure.

With medical bills piling up and no income coming in, a GoFundMe fundraising page was setup in Jacob's honor, but he didn't receive donations for about a month.

His mother was disgusted when the website told her this:

"Their users come from all walks of life and they didn't want to see a picture of my struggling son," she said.

The picture they used is no different than dozens of others we found on GoFundMe.

"I was angry," Christina said. "He's beautiful. Everyone who sees him thinks so. And that doesn't make him any less important."

The Hinks were forced to changed the picture to a family photo and the donations are rolling in now, but for almost a month, because Jacob's page wasn't public, they weren't getting the donations they so desperately needed.

"Honestly, we were shocked," Christina said. "GoFundMe me was founded to help people in emergency situations."

We contacted GoFundMe to find out what it's picture policies are. We are still waiting for a call back.
