MANSFIELD, OH (WOIO) -

The Mansfield Division of Police Major Crimes Unit has made an arrest in connection with a June homicide.

On June 26, 2015, officers were called to the 200 block of East Second Street around 1:30 a.m. for an aggravated burglary/robbery and felonious assault. When police arrived, they found Myron Webb with severe injuries. He was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment, where he later died.

Through evidence processing and investigative leads, Marcellus Luckie, 41, was identified and linked to Webb's murder.

A detective contacted Luckie at the Richland County Jail, where he is currently incarcerated on a having weapons while under disability charge, and served him with an aggravated murder warrant.

“We would like to thank the community for their help on identifying this suspect. This was a terrible loss of life to one of our citizens in the Mansfield community,” said Lt. Robert Skropits.
