WAYNE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is searching for a female escapee.
According to the sheriff, a judge released Lacey Booth from jail to visit a doctor. Although she was ordered to return, she did not. The sheriff says such releases are common and the majority of inmates do follow the rules and return.
While Booth was expected to be released on a DUI charge in April, she will now be facing a new charge of escape.
Booth is described as a white female standing 5'3'' tall, weighing 150 pounds with blonde hair. She is from the Orrville area.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at (330) 264-3333.
