SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - A 31-year-old man accused of videotaping a woman using a park restroom earlier this year pleaded guilty to voyeurism charges in Stow Municipal Court on Wednesday.
Joseph Meister, of Sagamore Hills, was given a $150 fine and sentenced to one year probation.
On May 1, Meister was arrested after he was caught videotaping a woman using the restroom at the Bike and Hike Lot of the Summit Metro Parks.
Rangers say the incident happened at 4:30 p.m., when the victim saw Meister recording her on his phone. According to a Metro Parks ranger report, the victim yelled at him, and he fled. She raced out of the restroom and was able to grab his license plate number and provide it to rangers.
Rangers and Sagamore Hills Police then tracked Meister to his home on Apple Hills Drive in Northfield, where he was arrested without incident.
Meister later confessed and told officers he had a "sick sexual addiction" and he was surprised he wasn't caught sooner.
