CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James says goodbye to his business relationship with McDonald's.

He's throwing his name and money behind Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza, the nation's largest and fastest growing build-your-own pizza chain.

James is also one of the company's founding investors along with Maria Shriver, Boston Red Sox Chairman Tom Werner, film producer John Davis, and leading investor Paul Wachter.

James invested in the company in 2012. You may not have heard of Blaze. It opened its first restaurant in 2012 and has locations in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Miami and Washington, D.C.

This new agreement with the pizza chain will have James directly involved in the brand's marketing activities through advertising, social media, in-store appearances, and other company campaigns.
