Gilbert on playing offense: I would be happy to do it

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - On Thursday Cleveland Browns coaching staff stated that giving Justin Gilbert some reps are wide receiver was an option.

""If it happens, I wouldn't back away from it. I would be happy to do it. Wherever I can help out the team that will give a chance to have a ball in my hands, which I like to do, I would love it," Justin Gilbert said on Friday when asked about working with the offense.

Gilbert was drafted with the 8th overall pick as a corner back in the 2014 NFL Draft. Gilbert has been a disappointment at the corner back position, last week he tried returning kicks and did well, averaging 36 yards per return.

Gilbert has played defense since his freshman year in College and said he played offense in high school.

The Browns will take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
