Cleveland Community Police Commission holds first meeting open to public

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Community Police Commission held a public meeting Wednesday to give everyone the chance to weigh-in on ways to make the department better.

The meeting at St. Paul's Community Church on Franklin Blvd. began at 5:30.

The public was welcome to attend and comment on the issues including police fairness, use of force policies, a new police review board, and what exactly are the goals of this committee.

In an effort to conduct its work in a transparent manner, the CCPC will conduct its full commission meetings as public meetings.

The CCPC was appointed on September 8 by Mayor Frank Jackson.
